CONTINUOUS RESONANCE

Spanning 2014-2016, the Continuous Resonance project was an avenue for Neil to explore solo saxophone documentation with a strong connection to place and time. In many ways, Continuous Resonance was a method of sustaining and eventually winding down the energy from his previous daily recording project, 12 Moons (2013). Each improvisation in Continuous Resonance was performed acoustically, recorded by Neil himself using a simple handheld stereo field recorder and prepared with no post-production manipulation whatsoever. The locations for on-site recordings were varied, including areas such as: natural environments encountered while backbacking, various rooms while on tour, Neil’s own home practice studio, and much more. All recordings are available for streaming for free in perpetuity. Simply click the links below to begin your journey.
