From Neil:

I decided to make this tutorial and fingering chart available for free as a small offering to the saxophone community. In my own artistic work, I integrate quarter tones and small microintervals in my practice, performance, and pedagogy. I am also frequently asked to use these techniques when performing with others. Melodically, quarter tones integrate well into standard 12 tone equal temperament. I find that it is becoming more and more common for composers to call for the use of quarter tones. I have found that many saxophonists at all levels of ability are researching any trying out a few quarter tones here and there. There are many videos online of exceptional players demonstrating the use of quarter tones, and many videos demonstrating isolated scales. However, I have never seen a quality tutorial accompanied by a fingering chart. Happy playing, and best of luck in your explorations. -Neil
