SRJO Instrument Donation Program

Neil is the founder and program coordinator for the Seattle Repertory Jazz Orchestra (SRJO) instrument donation program. The SRJO partners with the instrument repair school at Renton Technical College to take donated instruments, fully refurbish them, and give them free of charge to young music students in the Denny Middle School and Chief Sealth music programs.

Donate Your Used Instrument

All the instruments in our program are donated by community members just like you! We are in need of band instruments, including: flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet and trombone. If you have an instrument that you would like to donate, please contact Neil here!

Non-profit work

In addition to performance and private instruction, Neil is the Educational Program Coordinator for the SRJO Jazz Scholars (Seattle Repertory Jazz Orchestra) and Musical Pathways Project (Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestra) non-profits. He is also a classroom educator for both organizations, each of which place professional musicians/educators into the classroom to support the pedagogical work of Seattle-area music teachers.

The Jazz Scholars and the MPP (Musical Pathways Project) support an unbroken pathway of musical study for 4th-12th grade band and orchestra students in the Southeast and Southwest regions of Seattle. Most students in these two areas face major equity barriers to quality of education as compared with more affluent Seattle neighborhoods.
